In their early days, Fleetwood Mac struggled with the constant filtering of multiple members. The folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined the group in 1974. With the addition of the newfound pair, Fleetwood Mac’s sound evolved into a pop-rock/folk-rock sound, which can be heard in their first studio album together with Fleetwood Mac.

Breaking up in the late 80’s, with rare performances in between before the band reunited in 1997. Shortly after, Christine McVie announced her retirement from touring, leaving the group as a four-piece, but rejoined again in 2014. Fleetwood Mac’s last album Say You Will was in 2003. Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie released a side project in 2017 with contributions from some of the other band members.
